हिन्दी अनुवाद―आम भारतीय महिलाओं की सोच में अब एक बड़ा
परिवर्तन दिख रहा है। अब वे सपने देख कर मन मसोस कर नहीं रह जाती
संघर्ष कर अब वह समाज में अपनी एक जगह बना रही है, अपनी पहचान
बना रही हैं।
अब वे पुराने दकियानूस सिद्धान्तों समझौतों और बलिदान देने और
अकेले दम घुटने के जीवन में यकीन नहीं रखतीं । बल्कि वे खुद नेतृत्व करना
चाहती हैं।
अब तो वे अपने हर आलोचक का मुँह बन्द कराने की क्षमता रखती
हैं। वे आज की नारी, आधुनिक नारी हैं। हर मामले में अपनी स्वतंत्रता को
बनाए रखना चाहती हैं।
प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में आज की नारी ने विजय पताका फहरा दी है। खेल के
क्षेत्र में भी अब वे पहले की तरह फिसड़ी नहीं मानी जाती । मेरी कॉम और
साइना नेहवाल जैसी विजेता खिलाड़ियों के प्रशंसक एम० एस० धौनी से कम
नहीं हैं। कैसे इन महिलाओं ने महान उपलब्धि हासिल की, आइए जानते हैं।

अंतराष्ट्रीय टेनिस के क्षेत्र में भारत की श्रेष्ठ महिला खिलाड़ी है-सानिया
f e A t 6 साल की उम्र में उसने खेलना शुरू किया टेनिस का खेल
जिसमें वह प्रोफेशनल यानी व्यावसायिक या पेशेवर खिलाड़ी बनी 2003 में।
सानिया को टेनिस खेलना उसके पिता ने सिखाया था । मात्र 16 वर्ष की
उम्र में वह 2003 का ग्रैन्ड स्लैम अवार्ड जीतने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला
बनी थी। विम्बलडन के डबल्स के खेल में भी वह विजेता रही। 2007
में विश्व में रैंक में उसका नम्बर 27 था, जो किसी भारतीय टेनिस खिलाड़ी
के लिए सबसे बड़ा रैक था। 2015 में वह पहली भारतीय महिला खिलाड़ी
बनी जिसने डबल्स के खेल में भी नम्बर वन यानी प्रथम विजेता का खिताब
जीता।
सानिया मिर्जा ने कुल 14 मेडल जीते जिनमें 6 स्वर्ण पदक शामिल है।
ये खिताब उन्होंने तीन मुख्य खेल आयोजन में जीता-एशियन गेम्स, कॉमनवेल्थ
गेम्स और एफ्रो-एशियन गेम्स में शामिल होकर । सानिया के कुल 41
WTA (वीमेन्स टेनिस एसोसिएशन) और 4 ITF (इन्टरनेशनल टेनिस
फेडरेशन) वर्ष 2016 के अन्त तक इन टाइटल्स/पदवी को जीता।
उसकी सफलता की कहानी संघर्षों से भरी हैं जो पूर्ण समर्पण के साथ
और कड़ी मेहनत के साथ खेलते रहने का नतीजा है। उसे पद्मश्री, अर्जुन
पदक और पूर्व में WTA वर्ष की श्रेष्ठ नई खिलाड़ी का भी खिताब मिल

भारत की साइना नेहवाल दुनिया की श्रेष्ठ बैडमिन्टन खिलाड़ियों में
शामिल नाम है। 2006 में अन्डर 19 चैम्पियनशिप जब उसने जीता था तो
तब वह टीनएजर थी, 20 वर्ष से कम उम्र की। दुनिया की नम्बर-1 खिलाड़ी
रह चुकी साइना नेहवाल 2009 तक विजेता का अपना पदक बचाती रही।
वह तीन बार भारत की तरफ से ओलम्पिक खेलों में भाग ली। दूसरी बार
के खेल में वह कांस्य पदक जीतने में कामयाब रही।
साइना एकमात्र भारतीय महिला बैडमिन्टन खिलाड़ी है जिसने प्रत्येक
बैडमिन्टन के वर्ल्ड फेडरेशन (BWD) में कम से कम एक मेडल जरूर
जीता । साल BWF वलर्ड जूनियर चैम्यिनशिप में भी उसका यह रिकार्ड
बराकरार रहा। प्रत्येक आयोजन में कम से कम एक मेडल जीत लेने का।
ओलम्पिक मेडल बैडमिन्टन में जीतने वाली साइना नेहवाल भारत की प्रथम
महिला खिलाड़ी है। उसे अर्जुन अवार्ड, राजीव गाँधी खेल रतन अवार्ड और
यहाँ तक की पद्म भूषण अवार्ड भी मिल चुके हैं।

मांगटे चंगनेइजांग मेरी कॉम को मेरी कॉम नाम से प्रसिद्धि प्राप्त है।
यह भारतीय बॉक्सर/मुक्केबाज ओलम्पिक पदक/मेडल जीत चुकी है। मेरी
कॉम मणिपुर के कॉम-कुकी जाति से आती है। वह मणिपुर के देहाती
इलाके में एक गरीब परिवार में जन्मी थी। वह खेत में अपने पिता का हाथ
भी बँटाती, स्कूल भी जाती और खेल भी सीखती थी।
2012 के ग्रीष्म/समर ओलम्पिक में कांस्य पदक जीत कर मुक्केबाजी
के खेल में वह ऐसा करने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला खिलाड़ी बनी।
वह जानवरों के अधिकार की समर्थक भी है। यही नहीं वह कई जानवरों
के अधिकारों के लिए काम करने वाले संगठन पेटा (PETA) भारत, से भी
जुड़ी है। वह गरीब युवाओं को मुफ्त मे मुक्केबाजी का खेल सिखाती है।

पी० वी० सिन्धु (पुसरला वेंकटा सिन्धु) आंध्र प्रदेश, भारत की
शानदार बैडमिन्टन खिलाड़ी हैं। 2001 में पुलेला गोपीचन्द ने ऑल इंगलैण्ड
ओपन बैडमिन्टन चैम्पियनशिप जीता था। उसी से प्रेरित हुई सिन्धु जो तब
आठ वर्ष की थी।
2014 में सिन्धु वर्ल्ड बैडमिन्टन रैंकिंग में श्रेष्ठ (टॉप) 10 में गिनी
जाती थी। वह प्रथम भारतीय महिला बैडमिन्टन खिलाड़ी थी जो इस खेल
में ओलम्पिक पदक जीती-2016 के समर ओलम्पिक में उसने रजत पदक
जीता था, मार्च 2015 में भारत के चौथे श्रेष्ठ पदक (नागरिक), पद्म श्री
पाने वाली वह सबसे युवा खिलाड़ी बनीं। 2016 में उसे राजीव गांधी खेल
रतन अवार्ड से नवाजा गया।

कर्णम मल्लेश्वरी भारत की विख्यात 'वेटलिफ्टर' (भारी वजन उठाने
वाली) है, जिसे 'आन्ध्र प्रदेश की लौह महिला' के नाम से जाना जाता है।
इस खेल में ओलम्पिक पदक जीतने वाली वह प्रथम भारतीय महिला है।
2000 में हुए सिडनी ओलम्पिक में 63 किग्रा० वर्ग के खेल में वह कांस्य
पदक जीती थी। 54 किग्रा० श्रेणी में 1994 और 1995 में उसने वर्ल्ड
टाइटल जीता था, यानी श्रेष्ठ खिलाड़ी बनी। 1993 और 1996 में इन खेलों
में वह तृतीय नम्बर पर रही। उसे 1994 में अर्जुन अवार्ड मिला और राजीव
गाँधी खेल रतन का अवार्ड मिला। 1995 में उसे पश्री अवार्ड से नवाजा

हरियाणा के रोहतक जिला की रहने वाली साक्षी मलिक भारतीय
फ्रीस्टाइल कुश्तीबाज है। उसके पिता बस कंडक्टर और माँ स्थानीय आँगनबाड़ी
में सुपरवाइजर थी। 12 वर्ष की उम्र में उसने ईश्वर दहिया नामक कोच से
कुरती की शिक्षा ली-रोहतक के छोटू राम स्टेडियम के अखाड़ा में ।
2016 के ग्रीष्म ओलम्पिक में साक्षी ने 58 किग्रा० श्रेणी की कुश्ती
प्रतियोगिता में कांस्य पदक जीता और भारत की प्रथम महिला बनी जिसने
ओलम्पिक में कुश्ती के लिए कोई पदक जीता है । 2016 में उसे राजीव
गाँधी खेल रतन अवार्ड से सम्मनित किया गया।

हरियाणा की फोगट बहनें आपस में कुल छह बहनें हैं। सभी कुश्तीवाज
हैं। बड़े से छोटे उम्र के क्रम में उनके नाम क्रमश: है-गीता, बबीता, प्रियंका,
रितु, विनेश और संगीता । जहाँ बाकी बहनें पूर्व कुश्तीवाज और कोच
(प्रशिक्षक) महावीर सिंह फोगट की अपनी बेटियाँ हैं- प्रियंका और विनेश
महावीर के भाई की बेटियाँ हैं, जिनकी एक कार दुर्घटना में मौत हो गयी
थी, तब से महावीर ने ही उन्हें पाला । महावीर ने इन सभी बहनों को भिवानी
जिले के बलाली गाँव में कुश्ती की शिक्षा दी।
तीन फोगट बहनें- गीता, बबीता और विनेश कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स के
विभिन्न खेल श्रेणियों (कुश्ती की) में स्वर्ण पदक जीत चुकी हैं। जबकि
प्रियंका एशिया चैम्पियनशिप में रजत पदक जीती । रीतु राष्ट्रीय स्तर की
प्रतियोगिता में स्वर्ण पदक जीती जबकि संगीता अंतरराष्ट्रीय चम्पियाँशिप में
विभिन्न पदक जीत चुकी है। हरियाणा की इन फोगाट बहनों का नाम मीडिया
की सुर्खियों में खूब चर्चित हुआ क्योंकि ये उस राज्य की बेटियाँ हैं जहाँ
लड़कियों का पता चलते ही गर्भ में ही उनकी हत्या (गर्भपात) करा दिया
जाना आम बात है. जहाँ बाल विवाह में लड़कियों को धकेल दिया जाता है
और उनके साथ समाज में हमेशा पक्षपात किया जाता है।

दीपा करमाकर प्रथम भारतीय महिला खिलाड़ी है जिसने ओलम्पिक
खेलों में जिम्नास्टिक के रूप में कोई पदक जीता (2016 के ग्रीष्म ओलम्पिक
में) रियो ओलंपिक 2016 में वह वीमेन्स वॉल्ट जिम्नास्टिक में चौथे (4th)
नम्बर पर रही। उसका स्कोर रहा 15.066 वह 2014 के ग्लासगो में हुए
कॉमनवेल्थ खेलों में कांस्य पदक जीती और जिमनास्ट के क्षेत्र में पदक जीतने
वाली पहली भारतीय महिला खिलाड़ी बनी । अगस्त 2016 में उसे खेल रल
अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया ।

दीपा मलिक शॉटपुट थ्रोअर' (फेंकने वाली) भारतीय एथलीट पहलवान
है जो हरियाणा के सोनीपत जिले की रहने वाली है। 8 साल की उम्र में वह
लकवाग्रस्त हुई पर हार न मानी । 26 वर्ष की उम्र में उसे स्पाइनल ट्यूमर
हुआ, सर्जरी कराना पड़ा। तब से कमर से उसका नीचे का हिस्सा
लकवाग्रस्त हो बेकाम हो चुका है।
दीपा ने 13 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मेडल, 47 राष्ट्रीय स्वर्ण पदक (मेडल), 5
राष्ट्रीय और राज्य स्तरीय रजत पदक और 2 कांस्य पदक जीत कर अपने
अदम्य साहस का परिचय दिया। उसने सिद्ध किया कि अपंगता भी सफलता
की राह में बाधक नहीं बन सकती। 2012 में उसे 42 वर्ष की उम्र में अर्जुन
अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया गया ।
तानिया-सचदेव-शतरंज खिलाड़ी― तानिया का जन्म दिल्ली में हुआ
था। सिर्फ 6 साल में उसने शतरंज खेलना सीख लिया था। उसने अपना
पहला अंतराष्ट्रीय ट्राइल जीता तब वह सिर्फ 8 साल की थी। तानिया न सिर्फ
महिला ग्रैण्डमास्टर बनी बल्कि अंतराष्ट्रीय मास्टर ट्राइल भी शतरंज के खेल
में जीती। 2008 की एशिया शतरंज प्रतियोगिता की वह विजेता बनी। पिछले
एशियन गेम्स में वह चौथे स्थान पर रही। 2009 में उसे अर्जुन अवार्ड से
सम्मानित किया गया।
अंजलि भागवत-शूटर (निशानेबाज)― भारत की पेशेवर निशानेबाज
अंजलि भागवत 2002 ई० में 10 मी० एअर राइफल श्रेणी में मकाबला जीत
कर दुनिया की नम्बर एक निशानेबाज महिला खिलाड़ी बनने का गौरव
हासिल किया। साथ ही उसने वर्ष 2003 में अपना पहला वर्ल्ड कप जीता।
वह लगातार तीन ओलम्पिक खेलों में भाग ली और 2000 के सिडनी
ओलम्पिक में फाइनलिस्ट रही। उसने 12 स्वर्ण पदक, 4 रजत (सिल्वर)
पदक कॉमनवेल्थ खेलों में जीते । 2003 के एफ्रो-एशियन गेम्स में तो उसने
इतिहास रच दिया- वह पहली महिला निशानेबाज बनी जिसने स्वर्ण और रजत

महिला खिलाड़ी हैं। मार्च, 2014 के कॉमनवेल्थ खेल में दिपिका पल्लीकल

पी०टी० ऊषा-तेज मैराथन धावक– केरल की रहनेवाली भारतीय
महिला खिलाड़ी पी० टी० ऊषा तेज मैराथन धावक है जो भारत की ख्याति
प्राप्त खिलाड़ियों में से एक है। लगभग दो दशक तक वह तेज दौड़ के
मैदान की रानी बनी रही। उसे प्यार से 'पयाली एक्स्प्रेस' और 'भारत की
उड़न परी' के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। उसने कुल 33 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पदक
जीता जिनमें 13 स्वर्ण पदक शामिल हैं। उसे अर्जुन अवार्ड और 1984 में

हिना सिद्ध (निशानेबाज)–भारत की विख्यात महिला निशानेबाज
हिना सिद्धू ISSF के खेलों में दुनिया की नम्बर एक खिलाड़ी बनी और इस
प्रकार वह प्रथम भारतीय महिला शूटर बनी जो इस ऊँचाई तक पहुँची। साथ
ही वह प्रथम भारतीय महिला शूटर है जिसके 2013 के ISSF वर्ल्ड कप
फाइनल्स में 10 मीटर एअर पिस्टॉल प्रतियोगिता में स्वर्ण पदक जीत कर देश
का नाम रोशन किया।
ललिता बव्यर– बब्बर तेज दूरी की मैराथन भारतीय महिला धावक है।
उसका जन्म महाराष्ट्र के सतारा जिले में हुआ था। वर्तमान के एशियन
चैम्पियनशिप में 3000 मीटर की दौड़ की वह रिकार्ड होल्डर है- विजेता
है। 2014 के एशियन गेम्स जो दक्षिण कोरिया में हुए थे, उसमें कांस्य पदक
जीता जबकि 2015 के एशियन चैम्पियनशिप में उसने स्वर्ण पदक जीता।
