परीक्षा के परिणाम आने का दिन था वह/रूपेश के पिता बेचैनी से अपने
बेटे का रिजल्ट देखने का इंतजार कर रहे थे। घण्टी बजी। उन्होंने दौड़ कर
दरवाजा खोला। पर, रूपेश का रिपोर्ट कार्ड देख भड़क उठे-इतना खराब
ग्रेड क्यों आया तुम्हें । और लगे डाँटने कितनी बार कहा तुमसे कि मोबाइल
फोन पर मत लगे रहो। सारा दिन या तो मोबाइल, या इन्टरनेट पर लगे रहते
हो और रात होते ही टी० बी० चैनल में रम जाते हो/देखो इसका क्या परिणाम
हुआ?
रूपेश ने अपने पिता को टोका । नहीं पापा, मैं स्मार्ट फोन या टीवी पर
समय बर्बाद नहीं करता हूँ। बल्कि ज्ञान प्राप्ति के लिए इनका उपयोग करते
रहता हूँ।
जैसा आप सोचते हैं ये बेकार की चीजें नहीं हैं। मैं अपने प्रश्न गूगल
से पूछता हूँ, जवाब जानता चाहता हूँ। मुझे इन सबसे नयी-नयी जानकारियाँ,
सूचनाएँ. शिक्षाएँ मिलती हैं। ये सब मेरा ज्ञान बढ़ाती हैं। टीवी में भी
शैक्षणिक कार्यक्रम होते हैं।
और आपको नहीं पता कि इन सबसे मेरे पाठ कितने रोचक हो जाते हैं।
चीजों को मैं बेहतर तरीके से समझता हूँ। वीडियो के पाठ दिमाग पर ज्यादा
देर तक असर बनाये रखते हैं। इन्टरनेट से मैं अपने काम की चीजें डाउनलोड
कर सुरक्षित कर लेता हूँ, जिन्हें जब समय मिले अध्ययन करता हूँ ।
लेकिन पिता रमेश सन्तुष्ट नहीं दिखे / वह गुस्से में बोलते गये। लेकिन
टीवी के प्रति तुम्हारी दीवानगी का क्या ? क्या तुम उसमें फिल्में, संगीत,
सीरियल, क्रिकेट मैच नहीं देखते ? क्या यह सब समय की बर्बादी नहीं है?
रूपेश बोला-पर टीवी में कई शिक्षा से जुड़े कार्यक्रम भी तो होते हैं।
मनोरंजन के साथ-साथ मैं अपना ज्ञान भी तो बढ़ाता रहता हूँ, जो मुझे दुनिया
से जोड़े रखता है।
पर मि० रमेश बहस खत्म करने के मूड में नहीं थे। वह जारी रहे-तुम्हें
पता है स्मार्ट फोन और टीवी का ज्यादा प्रयोग करने से हमारी जीवन-शैली
खराब हो रही है। पढ़ाई तो ये बर्बाद करते ही हैं. स्वास्थ्य को भी चौपट
कर देते हैं।
वह बोलते गये-मैं देख रहा हूँ इन दिनों तुम खेलते नहीं। न बाहर की
क्रियाकलापें, न शारीरिक अभ्यास । और फिर मोबाईल और टीवी की शिक्षा
का क्या उपयोग है जीवन में?

रूपेश ने अपने पिता को समझाने की कोशिश की-पापा आप क्यों नहीं
समझते ? हम स्कूल में आउटडोर खेल खेलते हैं जिससे हमारा स्वास्थ्य ठीक
रहता है और वीडियो गेम से दिमाग चुस्त होता है। स्मार्ट फोन से हमें किसी
का जन्मदिन या फोन नम्बर याद रखने की जरूरत नहीं होती। सब फोन
याद दिला देता है। हम सामाजिक तौर पर एक दूसरे से जुड़े रहते हैं।
मि० रमेश― ऐसा सामाजिक सम्पर्क किस काम का कि परिवार दो
लोगों के लिए ही समय नहीं निकाल पायें। सोशल नेटवर्किंग से लोग तो
जुड़ते हैं पर उसमें रिश्तों का वह अपनापन कहाँ।
रूपेश अपना बचाव करता है तो इसका मतलब आप तकनीक को
वरदान नहीं मानते। आपको नहीं लगता कि टोवी, मोबाइल और इन्टरनेट में
आसानी से तमाम सूचनाएँ उपलब्ध हो जाती हैं। आप यह तो मानते होंगे कि
तकनीक पैसे और समय बचाती है। अब हमें टिकट खरीदने रेलवे स्टेशन
नहीं जाना पड़ता न ही अपने जरूरी कागजात, डॉक्यूमेन्ट्स लेने दूर किसी
स्थान की यात्रा करनी पड़ती है।
मि० रमेश ने इस बात पर हामी भरी-हाँ, यह मैं मानता हूँ। लेकिन सारा
दिन मनोरंजन में लगे रहना भी तो अच्छी बात नहीं। यह हानिकारक है जो
तुम्हारी पढ़ाई और नींद को खराब करती है। तुम आलसी हो जाते हो । दिन
भर टीवी या इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरणों में लगे रहने से तुम ऊँधने लगते हो. उँधने
यानी नींद आने लगती है। जब जरूरत हो तभी कुछ समय के लिए इनसे
मनोरंजन करो और हाँ जब वाकई शिक्षा या जानकारी लेना हो ईमादारी से,
तभी इनका प्रयोग करो।

मि० रमेश ने सलाह दी,-तकनीक कभी बुरी नहीं होती। इनका
आविष्कार हमारे जीवन को आरामदेह बनाने हेतु हुआ है। वे हमारे सेवक
हैं। अत: तुम्हें उन्हें अपना मालिक नहीं बनने देना चाहिए । इलेक्ट्रॉनिक
गैजेट्स (उपकरणों) के अधिक इस्तेमाल से सिर-दर्द, आँखों के समस्या/रोग,
हाइपर-टेन्शन, मोटापा आदि बीमारियाँ होती हैं। मुझे तो कभी-कभी डर होता
है कि नयी पीढ़ी हिंसा और अपराध के प्रोग्रामों में कितनी रूचि लेती है
रूपेश शान्त स्वर में बोला-पर हम उनसे बचाव के उपाय भी तो सीखते
हैं। ये प्रोग्राम हमें हिंसा और अपराध से सावधान भी तो करते हैं।
कुछ दिनों बाद रूपेश ने अपने पिता मि० रमेश की एक सर्टिफिकेट
दिखाया जो घण्टी बजाकर एक कुरियर ब्वॉय दे गया था। रूपेश को एक
ऑनलाइन प्रोजेक्ट के लिए विदेश से बुलावा आया था। अब तो उसके पिता
रमेश की खुशी का ठिकाना न रहा। उन्होंने अपने बेटे से अत्यंत खुश होकर
बाँहों में भर लिया। अब वह बहुत खुश थे।
