                              कविता का हिन्दी अनुवाद

हिन्दी अनुवाद― प्रस्तुत कविता 'मेरी माँ' भारत के पूर्व 11वें राष्ट्रपति
डॉ० ए० पी० जे० अब्दुल कलाम द्वारा लिखित है। 'भारत के मिसाइल
मैन/व्यक्ति' के रूप में प्रसिद्ध वैज्ञानिक कलाम का माँ के प्रति प्रेम प्रस्तुत
कविता में उमड़ पड़ा है।
प्रस्तुत कविता में कवि कलाम अपने बचपन के दिनों की याद करते हैं
जो उन्होंने रामेश्वरम में बिताये थे। वहाँ की समुद्री लहरें, सुनहरे बालू,
तीर्थयात्रियों का विश्वास, रामेश्वरम की मस्जिद की गली, और वे सब एक
आकार में जुड़ जाते हैं और वह है कवि की माँ की आवृति, उसकी प्यारी
माँ!
कवि माँ को ईश्वर का वरदान मानता है। उसे अपने बचपन के बिताए
कष्ट भरे दिन अच्छी तरह याद हैं। उसे वे कष्ट भरे दिन अच्छी तरह से
याद हैं। जब वह मीलों दूर चलकर मंदिर के निकट पहुँचकर पूज्य शिक्षक
से शिक्षा लेने आता था।

हिन्दी अनुवाद–कवि अपने बचपन के दिनों को याद करता हुआ
प्रस्तुत कविता में आगे कहता है-फिर मीलों का सफर तय कर अरबी
पाठशाला पहुँचता था, इस क्रम में उसे बालुओं के पहाड़ पर चढ़कर रेलवे
स्टेशन रोड जाना पड़ता था, अखबारों को लेकर फिर मंदिरों के उस
शहर-रामेश्वरम में वह लोगों को अखबार बेचने निकल पड़ता था।
उसे तड़के उठकर स्कूल जाना पड़ता था. जो काफी दूर था। इसलिए
उसे सूरज के उगने के फौरन बाद उठ जाना पड़ता था। चाहे शाम का समय
हो या दिन का, रात की पढ़ाई के लिए बैठने के समय तक उस बालक को
कई कष्ट उठाने पड़े थे।
कवि आगे की पंक्तियों में कहता है कि पाँचों दफे नमाज पढ़ते हुए
उसकी माँ ने एक पवित्र आत्मा की शक्ति, एक पवित्र शक्ति हासिल कर
ली थी। कवि आगे कहता है कि उसकी माँ की धार्मिक शक्ति उसकी
ईश्वर-भक्ति, अल्लाह पर विश्वास ने ही उसके अंदर एक पवित्र शक्ति भर
दिया था जिससे कि वह अपनी कठोर जिंदगी के कष्टों को सहने की हिम्मत
पाता था। कवि यह भी याद करता है कि उसकी माँ अल्लाह के वजूद पर
यकीन रखते नेक नीयती के तहत यथासंभव, हर मजबूर व्यक्ति की अपनी
शक्ति से मदद किया करती थी।

हिन्दी अनुवाद– कवि तब की बात याद करता है, जब वह दस साल
के थे, जब अन्य भाई-बहन ईष्या कर रहे थे कि उसकी माँ बस उसे ही
अपनी गोद में लिये थी, उस चाँदनी रात में जय कवि को पूरी दुनिया में बस,
अपनी माँ ही नजर आ रही थी।
कवि आगे के पल याद करते हुए इन पंक्तियों में लिखता है कि-जब
आधी रात को मेरे आँसू निकल मेरे घुटनों पर पड़े, तो मेरे उस दर्द, पीड़ा
को सिर्फ मेरी माँ ही महसूस कर सकती थी और माँ के दुलार भरे हाथों
के स्पर्श ने प्यार से उस दर्द को दूर भगा दिया था।
कवि आगे कहता है, कविता की आखिरी पंक्तियों में कि-तुम्हारा प्यार,
देखभाल, करुणा और विश्वास, इस सबने मुझमें बल प्रदान किया कि मैं
ईश्वर पर भरोसा रखते हुए दुनिया के सारे कष्टों का सामना कर पाया तो
यह सब माँ तुम्हारे ही कारण संभव हो पाया । अन्त में कवि अपने अरमान
प्रकट करता है, वह और उसकी माँ कयामत के दिन, यानी प्रलय के दिन
एक-दूसरे से फिर से जरूर मिलेंगे।

                               WORD MEANING

Golden sand (गोल्डेन सैन्ड) = रामेश्वरम के सुनहरे समुद्र-तट पर
की बालुएँ। Pilgrim (पिल्ग्रिम)= तीर्थयात्री । Merge (मर्ज) = जोड़ना,
जुड़ना । Piety (पाइटि)= धार्मिक, ईश्वर-भक्त, पुण्यात्मा । Saintly
(सेन्टलि)= पुण्यात्मा, पवित्र । Toil (टॉयल) = कठिन श्रम, (यहाँ)-कष्ट ।
Pious (पिअस)= पवित्र । Faith (फेथ) = विश्वास । Almighty one
(ऑलमाइरी वन) = ईश्वर । Strength (स्ट्रेंथ) = शक्ति । Judgement
day (जजमेंट डे) = कयामत का दिन ।

Q. 1. Which places of his childhood days does the poet
recall in the poem ?
Ans. The place which the poet recalls in the poem of his
child-hood days is Rameshwaram where the poet used to live
and of the sea waves. Golden sand.

Q. 2. Can you guess the child's daily routine from the
poem ? Write it.
Ans. The child's daily routine from the poem was very
busy. He used to wake at 4 o'clock in the morning, take bath
and went to learn Mathematics from his teacher, Swamiyar, at
5:30 A.M.. He would return to home and went with his father
to the Namaz and Kuran Sharif learning in Arabic school. After
that he used to go to Rameswaram road railway Station, to
collect newspaper and after collecting the newspaper he used
to distribute in the town at 8 A.M. He used to return home and
have his breakfast. In the evening he used to collect dues from
customers. As a young boy, he was walking, running and
studying all together.

Q. 3. What are the feelings of the poet for his mother?
Ans. The poet has very much love and affection for his
mother. He says that only his mother understands him and can
feel his pains. He says that his mother gave him constant hope
and strength in times of need and she was the only source of
encouragement to him.
         He says that all his pains were washed away when his
mother moves her caring hand on his head. The poet resembles
that all that he is today is because of his mother.

Q. 4. What does the child mention about his mother's
'caring hands'?
Ans. The child says that whenever he is in pain, his mother
comes to know about it and all his pains get washed away
when his mother put 'caring hand' on his head. He says that
she gave him constant hope and strength in times of need.

Q.5. When does the child say that he will meet his mother
again?
Ans. The poet remembers that all that he is today is because
of his mother, for the courage and perseverance that he
possesses has been bestowed on him, only by his mother. And
finally the author hopes that he meets his dead mother once
again on the great judgement day.
